The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

September 3rd

0921 Hours: Officers Hernandez and Nobbe contacted and arrested a 36-year-old male out of Newark for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

1938 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated an auto burglary at the 39,000 block of Mowry School Rd.

2003 Hours: Officer Riddles contacted and arrested a 45-year-old male out of Newark for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

2103 Hours: Officer Wang contacted and arrested a 27-year-old male for trespassing at Newpark Mall. He was cited and released.

2244 Hours: Officer Wilkerson conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 26-year-old male for DUI. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

2343 Hours: Sgt. Heckman contacted and arrested a 53-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

0127 Hours: Officer Wang contacted and arrested a 21-year-old-female for an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released.

September 1st

0801 Hours: Officer Jackman contacted and arrested a 45-year-old male out of Newark for possession of methamphetamine. He was cited and released.

1558 Hours: Officer Nobbe contacted and arrested a 56-year-old male out of Newark for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.

August 31st

0733 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 50-year-old male transient for public intoxication. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

1156 Hours: Officer Riddles contacted and arrested a 48-year-old male out of Newark for public intoxication and probation violation. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

1316 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 43-year-old male out of Newark for driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

August 30th

0721 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 48-year-old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

0741 Hours: Officer Hernandez contacted and arrested a 36-year-old male out of Hayward for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Hayward Jail.

1242 Hours: Officer D. Johnson contacted and arrested a 22-year-old male out of Redwood city for an outstanding warrant and possession of burglary tools. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

1731 Hours: Officer Khairy located a stolen car on Cherry St.

August 29th

1250 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 25-year-old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

1250 Hours: Officer Hernandez contacted and arrested a 20-year-old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.
