Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that his deputies responded to a farm accident in the 2300 block of Lake St. in Howard Twp, Cass County MI. The accident occurred on September 04 , 2018 at 1517 Hrs. Willie Lewis (66 yrs) of Benton Harbor, MI was laying down in the field taking a break when he was run over by one of the farm trucks, who did not see him laying in the field. Lewis was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. Deputies were assisted on scene by Howard Township Fire Department and SMCAS Ambulance service
