A heat advisory is in effect today. As a result the North Brunswick Cooling Centers will be open today. Temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 90's today, with a (peak heat index of 95-100) expected.
The Office of Emergency Management advises residents that the North Brunswick Library (880 Hermann Road) and the North Brunswick Senior Center (15 Linwood Place) have been designated as cooling centers.

Please take it easy if working outdoors, drink plenty of water and seek shade when possible. Wear light weight clothing. Never leave people or pets in a closed car. Also, check on family members and neighbors.
