Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 09/03/2018 at 0618 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on M-60 near Pine Lake St in Howard Township, Cass County Michigan. 58 yr old, Niles resident, Susan Martin, was North bound when a deer jumped into the roadway and Susan swerved out of the way to miss the deer but went into the ditch. Susan was taken by ambulance to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for treatment of head and neck pain. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and seat belt was used.
