National Preparedness Month 2018

The Grundy County Emergency Management Agency provides safety and preparedness information for employees, residents, and visitors of Grundy County.

The month of September is recognized as National Preparedness Month, a time for a community-based campaign for action to increase emergency preparedness and resilience through hazard-specific drills, group discussions, and exercises. Families and individuals throughout Grundy County are encouraged to join and participate in these efforts so that they are better prepared to meet the challenges that may occur when disaster strikes; and continues to work toward a strong and viable culture of preparedness throughout state and local government, colleges and universities, the private sector, and families.

National Preparedness Month is an opportunity to encourage Americans to take the necessary steps to prepare for all emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities. Please recognize and share the message: September 2018 as NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH
