Johnson attempted to delay his apprehension by fleeing to Indiana.  On August 28th, 2018, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit received notification that Mr. Johnson had been involved in an altercation in which gunfire was exchanged.  This resulted in one person being shot and killed and Mr. Johnson being shot and wounded.   As a result, Mr. Johnson was taken into custody by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana after being transported to the hospital to receive treatment.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite Fugitive Squad  apprehended Christopher Tyrone Toles at a local address in Jonesboro without incident.   During the apprehension, Mr. Toles’ girlfriend, Lanetta Shree Ellis who was present at the time was found to be wanted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for Contempt of Court-No License.  Ms. Ellis was also taken into custody.  Toles was wanted out of Clayton County for False Imprisonment, Violation of Georgia Gang Act, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault with Intent to Rape/Murder/Rob, Possession of Firearm or Knife During Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, as well as a True Bill Bench Warrant for the charges of Trafficking Cocaine, four counts of Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, and Crossing Guard Line-Drugs, Gun, Alcohol.   Mr. Toles is also wanted for a Violation of Probation for the charges of Loitering or Prowling, Altered ID Mark, and Criminal Gang Activity.

Both Toles and Johnson were involved in an armed robbery which took place on July 12th, 2018 at an apartment building in Jonesboro.  They both robbed a victim at gunpoint and threatened to kill the victim if he did not comply or called law-enforcement.

Toles is now waiting for Johnson to join him in his suite at the “Hill-ton”.  Friends who rob together face the wall together at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
