Traffic Stop Yields Illegally Possessed Firearm
On Thursday August 30, 2018 at approximately 10:30PM Officer Connelly pulled over a 1995 Honda Civic for a traffic violation on the 300 block of E. Pacific Ave. The driver and front passenger did not have identification. The front right passenger, later identified as 22 year old Fairfield resident Michelle Robinson, advised officers she may have a warrant.
A records check confirmed that Robinson had an outstanding misdemeanor DUI warrant. Robinson was detained as officers searched her and her purse that was located on the floorboard directly at her feet. The search of Robinson’s purse produced a loaded Colt .38spl revolver. The revolver had no record of sale and Robinson refused to answer any questions regarding it.
Robinson was booked into Solano County Jail for weapons violations and her warrant. Thanks to the diligent work of Officer Connelly one more illegally possessed firearm was taken off our streets.
