The 19^th Annual Palmdale Sheriff’s Boosters Don Self Golf Tournament is approaching quickly. This event not only brings the community together but it provides grants to local students who have demonstrated the importance of Integrity, Dignity, and Credibility which was Deputy Don Self’s motto. 
 
Deputy Self was able to change the path of many young individuals, who made bad choices, by instilling the meaning of Integrity, Dignity, and Credibility into their everyday lives. Unfortunately Deputy Self passed away too soon but his concept lives through this golf tournament. This event has been a staple in the community and has changed many young men and women’s future by providing them with scholarships. Last year, three scholarships were given to students from Highland High School who were attending college after graduation.

This year, like every year, we have an amazing community outpour with sponsorships from local businesses here in the Antelope Valley. Several businesses have become community partners through generous sponsorships which include Rally Auto Group, Garrison Medical, Help for Heroes, Ventura Graphix and many more to come.
 
This event has developed its own reputation of being one of the best golf tournaments in the Antelope Valley. This event is open to the public. The cost is $125 which includes a round of golf, cart, and range balls. Players who pay before October 8^th will receive a free mulligan package valued at $40! Breakfast/Lunch will be provided during the course. An exquisite catered dinner will also be included after the tournament. In addition, there will be a live auction, raffle prizes, and team awards for “Closest to the pin” and “Longest drive.” Don’t forget to buy tickets for the golf ball drop…$5 gets you a chance to win $500!!!
 
This day is organized by the Palmdale Sheriff Boosters (Tax-I.D. #95-4683976) and will be held October 15, 2018 at Rancho Vista Golf Club located at 3905 Club Rancho Drive, Palmdale, CA 93550.
