Incident Summary
 
On August 25, 2018, at approximately 02:58 AM, officers responded to a report of a subject sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle while stopped at the intersection of N. McDowell Blvd. and E. Washington St.
 
Officers responded and found Jason Toft, 30 year old Petaluma resident, in the vehicle asleep in the driver’s seat.  The vehicle was running and still in drive.  Officers were able to wake Toft and safely remove him from the vehicle without incident.  Officers discovered that Toft appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.  Toft was ultimately arrested for a violation of 23152 (b) VC, driving under the influence of alcohol.  Toft later submitted to a chemical test and was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.18 which was over twice the legal limit.  Toft was transported to Sonoma County Jail and booked into custody.
