Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators have filed a charge of Capital Murder against Darrell Burnside (06/29/69) for the retaliation murder of 25-year-old Ashley George.

Burnside is currently in the custody of the Louisiana State Police at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office in Lake Charles, LA.

Burnside was the boyfriend of the complainant Ashley George.
Both were suspected of being involved in the murder of Burnside’s wife in Mississippi in February of this year.

HCSO Homicide investigators traveled to Louisiana early in this morning to interview Burnside.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at approximately 4:15am, HCSO Patrol Units located an abandoned / suspicious vehicle parked inside the Clear Lake Park in the 5000 block of east NASA Parkway.

The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and it was determined that the vehicle had been driven the previous evening by 25 year old Ashley George.

A search of the immediate area was conducted and the body of Ms. George was located on the grounds of the park at the water’s edge. The institute Of Forensic Science determined that Ms. George had suffered multiple cutting wounds.
