Harris County Sheriff's Office Auto Theft Unit Seeks Information on Theft Suspect

Harris County, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Unit is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in a theft. The suspect is a black male, with a medium to heavy-set build.

On July 26 around 11:30 am, the suspect entered 24 Hour Fitness gym, located in the 18000 block of Kuykendhal Rd., and used a “guest pass” that was obtained with an ID with a false name and date of birth to gain entry to local fitness clubs. The suspect then proceeded to steal a victim’s car keys from their locker. The suspect then used the keys to gain entry and steal property from inside the victim’s car that was in the gym parking lot.

The suspect may have used the same ID used in 24 Hour Fitness to purchase a vehicle from a car dealership in Katy, TX. The car is a light colored older model 4 door sedan.

If anyone has any information about this individual, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Unit at 281-446-4399.
