Cases of Interest:
 
#011 Grand Theft
Approximately $2000 worth of electrical equipment was stolen from the Lennar Homes construction site near Grimmer Blvd/Fremont Blvd.  Investigated by CSO Ernst.
 
#027 Injury Collision
Officers responded to a solo vehicle accident near Mission/Gurdwara after a motorist collided with a street sign and power pole.  An elderly passenger in the vehicle sustained significant injuries and was transported to a trauma center.  Investigated by Officer Burch.
 
#050 Injury Collision
A male on an electric bicycle struck a moving vehicle at Paseo Padre Pkwy and Chadbourne Dr.  The bicyclist suffered major injuries but is expected to survive.  Traffic Officer Alexander handled the investigation.
 
#051Robbery
A victim reported being robbed of their wallet at Walnut Ave and Civic Center Dr.  The suspect threatened to shoot the victim, but no firearm was seen.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult in a black hooded sweatshirt and a black or grey beanie.  He was last seen running towards the BART station, however officers did not locate him.  Case was investigated by Officer Maniego/FTO Manrique.
 
Transient/Homeless Related Calls For Service:
 
#9452 – 8:03 a.m. – A transient was reported sleeping in front of Massimo’s restaurant.  The RP could see this remotely from a camera.  Officers made contact and the male complied with the request to move along. 
 
#9460 – 8:19 a.m. - Three transients were sleeping in front of a chiropractic business in the 42100 block of Blacow Rd.  They were contacted and asked to move along.  They complied with the request.
 
#9479 – 9:17 a.m. – A transient female was causing a disturbance at a preschool located in the 40800 block of Fremont Blvd.  Officers responded but she had left the area.
 
#019 – 10:42 a.m. – Officers responded to Wendy’s on Auto Mall Pkwy on the report of a transient male with a knife inside the dumpster enclosure.  Security had attempted to contact the male, but he was acting erratic.  Officer made contact and during a probation search found illegal drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance on his person.  He was arrested and transported to the Fremont Jail. 
 
#9533 – 11:24 a.m. – A female transient was reportedly near the railroad tracks at Niles Blvd. and Vallejo Street, throwing rocks over the overpass down onto Niles Blvd.  The female was also yelling.  Officers responded to the area however she was gone on arrival.
 
#9563 – 12:34 p.m. – A female transient was inside the Starbucks located in the 3900 block of Mowry refusing to leave.  Officers responded, but she had already left the area.
 
#9583 – 1:28 p.m. – A male transient was reported to be walking in the middle of the street westbound on Walnut near Fremont Blvd.  Officers responded, however the male was gone.
 
#9609 – 2:19 p.m. – A male transient was inside the Lucky’s store on Mowry demanding a refund, however he hadn’t purchased anything.  Officers responded and located the male in the area who was in crisis.  A counselor was contacted and a care plan was arranged to provide him with services.
 
#030 – 3:11 p.m. – A transient was reportedly going around a residence located in the 40300 block of Blanchard St and looking into windows.  The 30 year old male was contacted and found to have a stay away order from the address.  He was transported to Santa Rita.
 
#9723 - 6:23 p.m. - Transients were setting up a bed and dresser near the Round Table in Centerville until Officer Oliveira contacted them and moved them along.
 
#9747 – 7:58 p.m. - A caller reported a transient urinating next to a USPS drop-off box at the Irvington Post Office.  Several transients were later contacted and released.
 
#9796 – 10:07 p.m. - Residents on Parkhurst Dr. called to report a homeless male setting up camp in his vehicle on the street.  Officers made contact and asked the male to move along.
