The NWS has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for the City of ST. Louis until 8 PM 8/20/18 #stlwx

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern and central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are likely across parts of the area today and this evening. Some of the storms this afternoon and early this evening
could be severe across eastern Missouri and western Illinois. The primary severe weather threats on Monday are large hail and
damaging wind gusts. There is a low chance for an isolated tornado, primarily over far southeast Missouri and southwest
Illinois this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

There is a chance for thunderstorms from Thursday night through Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and early this
evening.

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
