Just a reminder that the Hot Summer Sundays Car Show will be back this weekend, on August 19, 2018. The event will run from 10am - 4pm in downtown Danville. Hundreds of cars will line the streets, from classic roadsters to modern muscle cars.

In addition, there will be food, music, and children's activities. It's a great event for the whole family. Motorists are reminded that due to the event several streets will be closed on Sunday from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Street closures include:

1. Hartz Avenue between Railroad Avenue and Hartz Way;
2. Linda Mesa Avenue between Railroad Avenue and Rose Avenue;
3. Diablo Road between Hartz Avenue and Rose Avenue;
4. Diablo Road at Front Street, westbound direction;
5. Local traffic access only between Front Street and Rose Avenue on Diablo Road and Front Street north to Linda Mesa Avenue;
6. Prospect Avenue between the Clock Tower Municipal Parking Lot entrance and Front Street; and
7. Church Street 50 feet west and east of Hartz Avenue.

Drivers may use Railroad Ave. or Front St. as alternate routes through the downtown area, and to public parking lots. Following the completion of the car show, crews will clean the streets and will reopen all roads no later than 5:00 p.m.
