Flash Flood Warning until 03:30AM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Morris County in northern New Jersey... East central Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey... Somerset County in northern New Jersey... North central Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 330 AM EDT.

* At 1130 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include... Morristown, Somerville, Bridgewater, Madison, Middlesex, Florham Park, East Hanover, Bound Brook, Manville, Chatham, Mendham, Peapack And Gladstone, Far Hills, Flagtown, Martinsville, Millington, White House Station, Basking Ridge, South Plainfield and North Plainfield.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MIDDLESEX, NJ ... SOMERSET, NJ ... HUNTERDON, NJ ... MORRIS, NJ

Instructions:

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
