The following is the link containing all related email transmissions in the recent arrest of the wife of a former deputy who resigned in lieu of termination for two stolen Sheriff’s Office firearms.

Anytime any firearm is stolen it becomes a danger of being used in a robbery or homicide that may have not have occurred if the person was not armed.  When that weapon is found to belong to a law-enforcement agency, it takes the seriousness of it to another level.  Our weapons are still out there.

Once again the investigation is ongoing and there is a strong possibility that another arrest could be made soon.  The media is encouraged to file an open record request on the investigation which led to this deputy resigning in lieu of termination.  This investigation will show that the entire family was complicit with the Sheriff’s Office stolen firearms.   This investigation was done by an outside agency and resulted in other deputies being disciplined as well.  

The Clayton Sheriff’s Office has a reputation for pursuing all criminals without fear or hesitation.  Media antics as performed by this family will not faze our resolve to see this matter through until its conclusion.
