UPDATE- Thank you! The power of community and social media has worked yet again. The birds owner has been LOCATED and they have been reunited! The bird had been lost in the area of Babbage Park. Thank you to all that shared the information and helped!
Okay, in the rare incident category...
On Friday (8/10) at approximately 925pm, a man walked in to our headquarters with a bird.
The man advised the Desk Sergeant that he was at a barbecue when a bird landed on his shoulder, and then wouldn't leave him. The man drove to our station with the bird on his shoulder. Sure enough, the man was in our lobby with the bird on his shoulder. He turned the bird over to the Sergeant, and went on his way. Animal Control Officers were contacted, and responded to take possession of the domestic bird. We're told that it is a Rainbow Conure?
