On Saturday, August 18, 2018, the Tri-City Animal Shelter is joining with NBC Bay Area and T 48 Telemundo to help Bay Area animals find forever homes through the “CLEAR THE SHELTERS” event.

All pet adoptions will be FREE this Saturday at the Tri-City Animal Shelter.

Hours:  11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location:

Tri-City Animal Shelter

1950 Stevenson Blvd (behind the police building)

Fremont, CA  94538

(510) 790-6630

Adoptions: Free.  All pets will come home spay/neutered and microchipped at no extra cost.  City pet licensing fees are required for Fremont residents only.

We are thrilled to announce the Tri-City Animal Shelter will begin a remodel and construction project on Monday, August 20, to improve the lives of the animals staying at the shelter.  The project will include new kennels, a redesign of the front lobby, a new cat habitat and many other wonderful upgrades to the shelter.  The shelter will remain open during the scope of the project.  Unfortunately, we will be working with a smaller number of kennels and cages until the end of October.  While most services will still be provided, we will be unable to accept self-surrenders and will provide community members a list of optional locations they can take their pets.

Due to the limited kennel space, we are already working with outside agencies, foster families and recue groups who are actively helping us to place and find homes for several animals before the project begins.  The primary need at this time is to find homes for cats and kittens.  We currently have more than 100 wonderful cats and kittens available for adoption. The Clear the Shelter event is a great opportunity for anyone looking to adopt a pet!

To view available pets, go to www.Tricityanimalshelter.org.  Come early and please bring the whole family!  The Ohlone Humane Society will have many fun giveaways for our visitors!
