DETAILS: While Ptl. LaRocca was investigating a burglary at another residence in King’s Point, he was detailed to a second burglary on the same street. Investigation indicated that unknown actor(s) entered the residence either through an unlocked rear sliding door or an open garage door. Once inside, money was taken from a purse on the kitchen counter, and a MacBook Pro was taken from the dining room table.

DETAILS: Sgt. Loretucci was detailed to the MarketFair parking lot in the area of the Bahama Breeze restaurant for a report of an intoxicated male behind the wheel of a red Ford Mustang. Prior to Sgt. Loretucci arriving on scene, the red Mustang drove to another parking space and parked. The reporter/witness pointed out the red Mustang to Sgt. Loretucci. Sgt. Loretucci found the car parked crooked in its space, and the driver, Alex Armstrong, asleep in the driver’s seat. Armstrong was subsequently determined to be DWI. He was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

During the stop, the front seat passenger, Reynairis Vilato, was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, a partially smoked marijuana cigarette, and a counterfeit $100 bill.

DETAILS: On July 9th, Patrol units were detailed to Wegmans for a male who was shoplifting. Investigation revealed the following: Christopher Cooper concealed two bottles of whiskey behind packages of soda in the shopping cart he was using. He then went to the self-checkout where he paid for the soda, but not for the whiskey. Investigation by Wegmans Asset Protection revealed that Cooper shoplifting alcoholic beverages in this manner dating back to April 28th of this year. In total, Cooper had shoplifted almost $800 in liquor on eight separate occasions. Cooper was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

Investigation revealed that Robyn Perez selected $425.89 worth of merchandise which she then concealed into empty Walmart shopping bags she had inside her purse. Perez then left the store through the garden department exit without making payment. Perez was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS: Ptl. Buchanan responded to a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 1 and Carnegie Center Blvd. involving three vehicles. Investigation determined the following: A red 2010 Ford sedan had side-swiped the vehicle in front of it, and then struck another vehicle in the rear. Sgt. Scott Kivet of the Robbinsville Police Department was in transit when he came upon the crash. Sgt. Kivet rendered First Aid to the driver of the red Ford, who was found unconscious behind the wheel from an apparent Heroin overdose. Inside his vehicle were five “bags” (wax folds) of heroin (two used and three unused) and various paraphernalia used to ingest Heroin/CDS. The driver was transported to the hospital for additional treatment. After the driver was released from the hospital, he was processed at WWPD Headquarters. He was released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court. **Identity not revealed due to First Aid rendering.

DETAILS: Ptl. Buchanan initiated a motor vehicle stop on a blue Hyundai sedan for failing to keep right, failing to stay within its lane of travel, a license plate lamp out, and tinted front windows. During the stop, the front seat passenger, Tawann McGuire, was found to be in possession of a Beretta 92, 9mm semi-automatic handgun containing a bullet in the chamber and a loaded magazine with 14 additional bullets. The handgun was found in a handbag in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. McGuire was also in possession of a marijuana cigarette, and was determined to be “Wanted” by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. McGuire was processed at WWPD Headquarters and then committed to the Mercer County Corrections Center pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

Gomes was also found to have arrest warrants out of Woodbridge and Jersey City. Gomes was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future Court dates in West Windsor, Woodbridge, and Jersey City.
