**UPDATE**
VICTIM #1:
Robert Salinas, 37 years old, Pomona Resident
VICTIM #2:
Jeremy Henness, 32 years old, Pomona Resident
SUSPECT:
Christopher Peterson, 40 year old, Ontario Resident
On 08/12/18 Pomona Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 100 E. First St, in reference to shots fired in the area. Upon their arrival they located 2 victims on the train station platform who were suffering from gunshots and were unresponsive. LA County Fire Personnel responded and adminstered first aid. Unfortunately both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
As the investigation began the suspect contacted the Ontario PD and requested to speak to investigators regarding the shooting. Pomona Police Detectives responded to his residence and spoke to him about the incident. A search of the area was also conducted and a firearm, believed to be the murder weapon, was located. Based on the evidence detectives booked the suspect on murder charges.
On 08/13/18 the case was presented to the LA County District for review. The district attorney believed there was sufficient evidence and filed 2 counts of 187PC, Premeditated Murder.
