The Simi Valley Police Department has learned that an unknown company is using a “Caller ID” that returns to the the SVPD Training Coordinator. The company is trying to solicit residents to purchase an alarm system. This is not a Police Department sponsored solicitation and the Department does not solicit or recommend any private business or service. There is insufficient information at this time to determine if this is a scam or other criminal enterprise attempting to obtain personal information or money from unsuspecting residents. It is recommended that citizens screen calls from unknown numbers or hang-up on unwanted solicitations.
