Police are investigating  A theft area of Conklin Ave., North Loop the vehicle is possibly a four-door Chrysler.

Occupants are believed to be responsible for a theft that occurred around 2:30 this afternoon.  Anyone who may recognize this vehicle is asked to call police.

UPDATE - Citizens spot vehicle used in theft.  Police attempted to stop vehicle near Cal City Airport. Suspects flee and are captured after a nearly 40 minute pursuit through Cal city.

UPDATE 10:30 AM Tuesday August 14th.

The suspects have been identified as 23 year-old Cody Franklin Riley of Mojave and 24 year-old Danielle Deleon of California City.

Riley was arrested after the car got stuck in a wash north of Mendiburu Road. He fled on foot but was captured a short distance away. Riley was arrested for Felony evading in California City in 2015 and is currently on probation for theft. He had outstanding warrants from both Kern County and Los Angeles County where he was wanted for vehicle theft, resisting arrest, possession of stolen property and drug related charges. He is being held without bail in Kern County Jail.

Deleon has prior arrests for vehicle theft. She is being held in Kern County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
