LMPD Press Release: La Mesa Safety Fair 2018 
La Mesa Police Department and Heartland Fire and Rescue’s
7th Annual Safety Fair
Continuing with the National Night Out event, the La Mesa Police Department and Heartland Fire and Rescue will be hosting its 7th Annual Safety Fair on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The event will begin at 9:00 am and last until 1:00 pm. This event is free to the public and will provide many interactive displays on police related issues; such as Crime Prevention, Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and demonstrations by our emergency Special Response Team (SRT). We will also display our police vehicles and a Heartland fire truck. In addition, there will be kids fingerprinting and a jump house. Free hotdogs, chips and water will also be provided, generously donated from 7/11. The public will be able to take guided tours of the La Mesa Police Department as well.
During the event, Target, the National Night Out sponsor, is providing many
giveaways to the public.
Additional participants include, La Mesa Community Services, Ready America, AT&T Distracted Driving Campaign, FBI, C.E.R.T, San Diego County Aging and Independence Services, Sharp Hospital, SDG&E and San Diego Crime Stoppers.
