On August 8, 2018, community members and several law enforcement agencies participated in the Walnut/Diamond Bar station fundraiser. Generous donations were raised for the family of fallen Cal Poly Pomona Security Officer/Claremont Park Ranger Mark Manlapaz. 　The owner of Jinza Teriyaki Restaurant, John Lee, graciously donated all of the food for the event. Starbucks also donated ice tea and coffee, and Sysco donated bottled water.　 The fundraiser was extremely successful raising approximately $3,100 for Officer Manlapaz' family. 　Walnut Diamond Bar Station would like to thank everyone who helped, and for their donations. The unity and camaraderie was very much appreciated for someone who gave his life protecting his community.
