Below is an updated traffic pattern for this weekend, due to the ongoing SUEZ Water project in southwest Hoboken.
- Marin Boulevard and Grove Street will remain open both inbound and outbound throughout the weekend.
- One outbound lane of Newark Street will be open until 11 p.m. Friday before Newark/Jersey Avenue closes for the remainder of the weekend.
- Harrison Street will remain open until 8 p.m. Friday before closing for the remainder of the weekend.
As a reminder, this is not a City of Hoboken project but a SUEZ Water managed project. The Mayor, Hoboken Police Department, and Office of Emergency Management will be closely monitoring the project and traffic flow and will help mitigate the traffic issue as best they can.
If traffic issues begin to pose a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of Hoboken residents, Mayor Bhalla is prepared to shut the project down and reopen all roads.
