07/01/2018 *Breaking & Entering Business
6400 Block of Sutton –Complainant contacted Northfield Police to report that during the evening someone cut the screens and entered the building. Video footage shows the subject inside the building, a male wearing a baseball style cap & carrying a backpack. When the alarm sounded it scared off the intruder. No property appeared to be missing.

07/02/2018 *Arrest – Fugitive Warrant
8350 Main Street – During an investigation it was discovered that subject had an outstanding warrant. Thy subject was arrested, processed for jurisdiction holding the warrant, bond was posted and subject released with a new court date.

07/04/2018 *Arrest Drive on Suspended License/ Domestic Violence
600 Block of Six Mile Rd – officers responded to a Domestic Violence Call- during the investigation it was determined suspect was driving on a suspended license – suspect was arrested and charges submitted to the prosecutor for Domestic Violence Assault & Battery.

07/05/2018 *Narcan Overdose Save
– Officers responded to an unconscious victim in distress, Naloxone was administered by officers, HVA transported conscious, verbal victim to the hospital. Heroin is believed to have been involved.

07/05/2018 *Arrest – Fugitive Felony Warrant
6400 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd – Officers were requested to assist Wayne County Sheriff in locating and arresting a subject on a Probation Violation for Dangerous Drugs. Officers were able to locate the subject and take him into custody. Subject was transported to Washtenaw County Jail awaiting pick up from warrant holding agency.

07/08/2018 *Arrest – Fugitive Felony Warrant
700 Block of Six Mile – Officers were advised of an outstanding felony warrant for a subject. Officers located subject and arrested subject on a warrant for Failing to Appear to Court. Subject was transported to Washtenaw County Jail awaiting pick up.

07/08/2018 *Home Invasion
300 Block of Emerald Circle – A homeowner contacted police when he arrived home to discover someone had entered and created havoc throughout his home. . The homeowner determined that amongst the mess, it appeared only minimal monetary damage had occurred. During the report of the incident, the homeowner determined the suspect was known to him and declined further police action regarding the matter. Case closed, no prosecution desired.

07/09/2018 *Larceny (theft)
8600 Block of Main Street –A resident reported that he had some money taken some time during the previous week. The resident left his wallet & money in an unsecured drawer. The incident remains under investigation.

07/11/2018 *Fraudulent Activity
9500 Block of Main Street –Polly’s Market– Owner reported fraudulent checks were cashed in his store – subject has been identified and the case remains under investigation.

07/13/2018 *Felonious Assault – Man with a Gun
8300 Block of Main Street –Complainant stated that after accepting a ride from an unknown male and visiting his room at a local motel, the two had a disagreement and the male threatened the complainant with a gun. Officers responded, made contact with the male suspect, but no firearm was found. An interview with the suspect revealed a different version of the night’s events. A report was submitted to the prosecutors for review.

07/13/2018 *Arrest –Felonious Assault – Man with a knife
80 Block of Phlox –Complainant stated that he and his neighbor do not get a long and on this evening the complainant was approached by his neighbor threatening to hurt him with a box cutter type tool. Officers responded to the scene, investigated the incident and placed the suspect in custody. Report forwarded to the prosecutor's office,

07/14/2018 *Arrest-Fleeing & Eluding
9300 Block of Main Street – Officer Recognized driver as one wanted on an outstanding warrant. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver failed to stop and sped off, eventually abandoning the vehicle and running on foot. The passenger was arrested and a warrant has been requested for the driver.

07/15/2018 *Arrest- Driving on Suspended License
7 Mile & Sunny Oaks – Traffic violation (speed), During a traffic stop it was revealed that the driver was driving on a suspended license – driver was arrested, issued citation and vehicle was impounded. A warrant was submitted to the prosecutor’s office.

07/16/2018 * Larceny Report
200 Block of Fairmont – A homeowner reported when a tenant moved out, the tenant took property belonging to the homeowner. The case remains under investigation.

07/16/2018 *Malicious Destruction of Property
8900 Block of Posey – Resident and guest woke to discover the tires on their vehicles punctured. Both victims stated they had no issues with anyone and no suspects were developed through the investigation.

07/17/2018 *Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
1100 Block of 8 Mile- Complainant stated that someone used her credit card to purchase several thousand dollars in tile. Complainant had not approved the purchase or anyone to use her credit card. . There are no investigative leads at this time.

07/17/2018 * Larceny (Theft)
9200 Block of Posey- Homeowner stated that sometime between 07/16/2018 & 07/17/2018 someone stole her 100 foot hose and holder from her yard. There are no investigative leads at this time.

07/21/2018 *Larceny (Theft) from Vehicle
9300 Block of Main Street- During the evening hours of 07/20/2018, an unknown suspect removed the cover from the victims pick-up truck and took tool boxes. No suspects or witnesses – No investigative leads

07/23/2018 *Larceny (theft) from Vehicle
9300 Block of Main Street – Sometime during the evening hours of 10pm & 9am an unknown subject entered complainant’s vehicle and removed 2 tool boxes. The owner located his tool boxes in another area of the parking lot. Complainant further advised that on the same evening his flag & flagpole were taken from his patio. No suspects or witnesses -No investigative leads

07/23/2018 *Larceny from Building
8600 Block of Main Street- A resident stated that he left cash in his pants pocket before changing for the evening and the following day when he went to get dressed, the money was missing. Case remains under investigation.

07/24/2018 *Arrest-Fugitive Warrant -Expired license/Improper Plate/No Insurance
Main & East Shore – Officer observed a traffic violation (defective equipment)and conducted a stop of driver who was discovered to have an expired license, no insurance, improper plates and an outstanding warrant. Vehicle was impounded and driver was issued citations for Motor vehicle code violations. Agency holding warrant requested that the driver be advised and released.

07/25/2018 *Home Invasion
700 Block of Six Mile Rd- Resident reported that she left her home for approximately an hour and when she returned she discovered property missing from the house and garage. Possible suspect identified and case remains under investigation.

07/25/2018 *Larceny(theft) from Outbuilding
9400 Block of Main Street-Complainant reported that someone took his push mower from his out building. Investigating Officer determined a neighbor’s video system may have caught the incident on tape. Case remains under investigation.

07/27/2018 *Arrest – Driving on a Suspended License
North Territorial & Whitmore Lake – while investigating a 2 car crash, the Officer discovered that a driver involved in the incident was driving on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and the plate confiscated. The owner of the vehicle was notified.
