California City - At 5:05 AM this morning Police responded to a reported burglary in progress at a home on 76th St and Walpole Ave.

At 5:07 AM Police arrived and found the suspect unconscious. According The the homeowner, the burglar attempted to break into a bedroom window while everyone was asleep.  The homeowner woke up and the burglar confronted the homeowner.  There was a brief altercation between the burglar and homeowner. As police arrived, they discovered the burglar unconscious at the home.   

The suspect was taken into custody and was hospitalized with minor injuries. He will be booked into jail once released from the hospitalized for residential burglary.
