California City - Today was the first day of school for California City students. The Police Department would like to remind everyone about school safety when students are traveling to and from school.
Remember to use marked CROSSWALKS and Bike Lanes
Do NOT walk in the street when there is a dirt shoulder or sidewalk nearby.
Some motorists may not be able to react in time if a student jumps into the path of cars.
Jaywalking carries a fine of $250.00
Parents should remind their children of ways to travel to and from school safely.
