SLPD assists outside agency in apprehending pursuit suspects 
This afternoon, a vehicle that was fleeing from a local law enforcement agency on interstate 580 exited the freeway at Estudillo Ave. and drove into a San Leandro neighborhood. The driver abandoned the vehicle in the middle of the street, and all of the occupants ran into nearby yards.
San Leandro Police Officers arrived on scene and assisted the pursuing agency in setting up a permitter in the area. The suspects were seen by area residences hiding in various places. The pursuing agency deployed a drone (UAV), and within a short time all suspects were located and taken into custody.
San Leandro police officers assisted in the apprehension, however, the originating agency is investigating the case.
