Domestic Issue Leads to Man's Death 
On August 8, 2018, at 12:11 a.m., the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office responded to 175 Lakeview Drive, Forest City in regards to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male suffering from gunshot wounds, which proved fatal. This incident appears to be related to a domestic issue. A juvenile female was also at the scene with wounds that resulted in her being transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. The names of the victims are not being released at this time due to notification of family. The investigation is ongoing and District Attorney Ted Bell has been consulted about this case.
