The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
August 6th
0613 Hours: Officer Rivera investigated a burglary at Old Town Laundry Mat, 7198 Thornton Avenue. The loss is an undetermined amount of cash.
1632 Hours: Officer Wilkerson contacted and arrested a 25-year-old Fremont female for her outstanding warrant during a pedestrian stop on Alpenrose Court. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
1907 Hours: Officer Hernandez investigated a vehicle vandalism incident at the Silliman Center, 6800 Mowry Avenue.
2346 Officer Wilkerson investigated an auto burglary on the 5600 block of Mowry Avenue. The loss is unknown at this time.
0138 Hours: Officer Herrera investigated a solo motor vehicle collision on the 37500 block of Cedar Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence and subsequently booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
