Internet Tip leads to arrest of Virginia Fugitive on new charges.

On August 6, 2018, at 1:10 p.m. Sergeant Bruce Vanoven stopped a Black 2005 1995 Dodge Dakota truck at the Pilot Truck Stop located at 1036 E. Warrenton Road in Haubstadt after receiving an internet tip that the male driver may be wanted out of Richmond Virginia. With the assistance of Deputy U.B. Smith, Special Deputy Johnathan Wells, and Indiana State Trooper Campbell Sergeant Vanoven began a roadside investigation that resulted in John William Dudley age 35 of the Weather Rock Campground being taken into custody. At the conclusion of Sgt Vanoven’s investigation Mr. Dudley was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, False Informing, and Resisting Law Enforcement. Mr. Dudley remains in custody on outstanding warrants out of Henrico County, Virginia.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
