Tuesday, August 7th will be our "Night Out Against Crime", a family event that encourages police community partnerships and safety.  The event will take place on Breidert Green from 6-8 p.m.  Some highlights of this event include:  Free hot dogs (for the first 600 people), safety vendors, face painting, bounce houses, touch a truck, a home depot kid's workshop, and more!  Don't forget to bring your important documents for our safety shred. (6-7 p.m.)  

Police Training
On Thursday, August 9th the FBI is hosting a police training exercise for local law enforcement.  This training will be taking place in the Lakeview Estates and Prestwick subdivisions.  Additionally, Chelsea school will be the command center for this event.  The training will take place from 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

Telephone Scams
The Frankfort Police Department has seen an increase in utility telephone scams.  Remember, government agencies and utility companies do not accept gift cards as an acceptable form of payment.  Those making these telephone calls can be extremely convincing, and may have some personal information about you.  This does not make them legitimate.  If you are in doubt, please hang up and call the listed business phone number for these companies to confirm the information provided.
