Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 2 patrol deputies quick actions are credited in the arrest and charging of three men who were in the process of stealing an ATM from a local bank in north Harris County.

Deputies received an in progress call from the First Convenience Bank located in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route around 1:45 a.m.

When deputies arrived they observed seven male subjects who were trying to load an ATM machine into an early model Ford Econoline van.

The van was reported stolen earlier that evening.

The men had made entry into the bank by breaking the front door, and several of the subjects wheeled a dolly in and placed the machine on it.

Then men fled when deputies arrived on scene as the still photo show.

Deputies captured Rickey Watson, 21, and Shakia Frazier, 21, as they attempted to flee the parking lot.

A third suspect now identified as Larry Gill, 17, was captured after a perimeter was set up in an adjoining wooded area behind the shopping plaza.

A search for the remaining four men was called off after several hours.

The three men captured are charged with engaging in organized crime, felony theft and evading detention.
