The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in Maryland, Central and Eastern Allegany, Extreme Western Allegany, Frederick MD, and Washington. In Virginia, Augusta, Clarke, Eastern Highland, Frederick VA, Northern Fauquier, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren, Western Highland, and Western Loudoun. In West Virginia, Berkeley, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Eastern Pendleton, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Morgan, Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton.

* Through tonight

* Multiple rounds of torrential rainfall will be possible for targeted areas through Thursday. Given saturated soil from recent rainfall, repetitive heavy rain may result in flash flooding.

* Urban areas, locations along small streams and creeks, and poor drainage areas are most vulnerable to flash flooding. The Flash Flood Watch will likely need to be extended through Friday.
