Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that his deputies were dispatched to a personal injury accident at Twin Lakes Rd just south of Gage St on 08/01/18 at approximately 0733 hours in Wayne Twp, Cass County, MI. Investigation shows that a SUV driven by Julie Wainwright (56 years old , resident of Dowagiac, MI)
was driving south bound on Twin Lakes Rd and rear ended a pickup truck that was towing a utility trailer. The pickup was driven by Bruce Heeter (39 years old, resident of Dowagiac, MI). Julie was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by Pride Care Ambulance and Bruce was uninjured in the crash.


Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor and seatbelts were worn.

Assisting agencies were Pokagon Tribal Police, Wayne Twp Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance
