Emergency Meeting Scheduled

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. (July 30, 2018) – County officials understand that many residents have questions regarding the Mendocino Complex fires and disaster response. The Lake County Board of Supervisors will host an emergency meeting tomorrow morning.

Here are the details: Emergency Board of Supervisors Meeting and Mendocino Complex Update Tuesday, July 31, 9am Clearlake City Hall Council Chambers 14050 Olympic Drive Clearlake, CA 95422

At this meeting, the Board will ratify Sheriff Brian Martin’s local emergency declaration. Additionally, staff from all agencies cooperating to respond to the Mendocino Complex wildfires will be on hand, to provide the public a comprehensive update.

The meeting will be streamed live on Facebook, enabling all concerned citizens to tune in. County officials will monitor and respond to questions posted to Facebook during the meeting. Residents and other concerned members of the public will be able to stream the meeting here: https://www.facebook.com/lakecountycagov/ Lake County PEG TV, Mediacom Channel 8, will also broadcast the meeting live.

“I had the opportunity to tour the burn area this morning, and the work first responders have done thus far to contain these wildfires has been astounding,” states District 4 Supervisor, Tina Scott. “With limited resources, crews have fought tirelessly to limit the damage, and there have been many successes. Our hearts remain with those responding to the disaster and the many evacuees.”
