Heat Advisory until 10:00PM Sunday
The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Heat Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM to 10 PM PDT Sunday.
* MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES...Daytime high temperatures of 93 to 98 on Sunday.
* TIMING...Hottest time of the day will be between 4 PM and 6 PM. Temperatures may be slow to cool until late Sunday night.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures will increase chances for heat related illness, especially for sensitive groups and people without access to air conditioning. Heat stress is also possible for livestock and outdoor pets.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CENTRAL COAST RANGE OF WESTERN OREGON ... CASCADE FOOTHILLS IN LANE COUNTY ... COAST RANGE OF NORTHWEST OREGON ... SOUTH WILLAMETTE VALLEY
Instructions:
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. Hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat related illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
