Harris County Sheriff’s Office Partners with Kailee Mills Foundation to Encourage Teen Seatbelt Use
What: The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Kailee Mills Foundation to conduct seatbelt safety checks at high school campuses across the county when school resumes for the fall semester. The Foundation is named for Kailee Mills, a Klein Collins High School student who was killed after being ejected from a car that crashed on the night of Oct. 28, 2017. Just seconds before the crash, Kailee had removed her seatbelt to take a selfie with a friend.
