West New York Parking Authority Begins Surface Parking Lot Improvement Program Tues., July 31 in 62nd St. & Van Buren Lot
July 25, 2018 - The West New York Parking Authority (WNYPA) will begin a series of construction projects as part of its Surface Parking Lot Improvement Program on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, starting with the 62nd Street & Van Buren Parking Lot. The initiative’s goal is to improve the surface conditions of municipal lots throughout the Town to positively impact functionality, environmental sustainability, and motorist experience.
WNYPA has selected the following lots to receive upgrades as part of the program: 67th Street parking lot, 66th Street parking lot, 62nd Street parking lot, 59th Street parking lot, 58th Street parking lot, 54th Street parking lot, and 55th Street parking lot. Each lot will be closed for 4-5 days for construction work. Lots closest to public schools will be first to receive this treatment.
Residents, visitors, and business owners may experience lot closures and changes in traffic patterns during construction periods.
