Traffic stop leads to arrest of Terre Haute woman for driving on a suspended license. 
On July 24, 2018, at 7:49 p.m. Special Deputy Zach Lienemann conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2006 Ford Escape for speeding on US 41 near State Road 64. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann identified the driver as 23 year old Rickida Abrams of Terre Haute. During a roadside investigation Deputy Lienemann ran Ms. Abrams through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that her driver’s license had been suspended on a prior driving while suspended charge. At that point Deputy Lienemann placed Ms. Abrams in custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Abrams was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. She remains in custody on a $650 bond.
Assisting Deputy Lienemann in his investigation was Sergeant Bruce Vanoven.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
