12/23/09 - Wednesday:

Sears - 2:00 pm - Strong Arm Robbery: A man and woman were exiting Sears when they were approached by two black males. The suspects grabbed the woman's purse and shoved her to the ground. The woman's purse was found the next day with most of the contents in or near it, minus the cash.

Officer Ralph Morgan made an OWI arrest. The suspect attempted to walk away from the traffic stop, and slapped Officer Michael Galbreath, who was assisting Officer Morgan. The suspect was also charged with resisting and assaulting a police officer.

Officer Jennifer Smith made an OWI arrest.

12/24/09 - Thursday:

300 block of N. Blackstone - Larceny: On 12/23/09, the victim allowed the suspect into her home to use the phone. When the suspect had left, the victim realized cash was missing from her purse. On 12/24/09, two black males came to her residence and asked if they could come into her home; she refused and called 911.

12/25/09 - Friday:

300 block of Carr - 1:50 pm - Armed Robbery: The victim was at home with her young son when three suspects kicked in the front door and entered the residence. One suspect had a handgun; cash was taken from the victim's purse.

700 block of Wildwood - B&E: The victim went to his office at approximately 10pm and realized it had been broken into. Cash and some electronics were taken from the office.

12/26/09 - Saturday:

Kohl's - 3:00 pm - Retail Fraud: Officer Mark Karle observed the suspect attempt to steal some cologne from the store.

Marathon - 9:50pm - Retail Fraud: Officer Matthew Beard contacted a suspect for attempting to steal candy from the Marathon Gas Station on E. Michigan Ave. The suspect had two outstanding warrants, which she was arrested for.

Officer Richard Burkart made an OWI arrest.

McThirsty's Pub - 1:45 am - Fight: Officers were dispatched to McThirsty's for a large fight. Upon arrival, several subjects were contacted; one was arrested for a parole violation.

Officer David Renteria made an OWI arrest.

Officer Jeremy Barnett made an OWI arrest.

Officer Christopher Garrett made an OWI arrest.

12/27/09 - Sunday:

Officer John Lillie made an OWI arrest.

400 block of First St. - 8:20pm - Strong Arm Robbery: The victim and suspect have had problems in the past. The suspect approached the victim outside of Frank's party store and demanded his money. The victim refused, and was struck by the suspect.
