07/01/18
Vehicle Burglary – 20900 block Costa Brava
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked vehicle and stole a wallet containing the victim’s credit cards and driver’s license.

07/02/18
Petty Theft – 24200 block Lyons Avenue
A suspect was arrested for stealing cooking grease from the outside grease container at business.  

Petty Theft – 25800 block Railroad Avenue
A suspect was observed stealing items from the business.

Grand Theft – 25100 block Atwood Boulevard
Person(s) unknown stole a catalytic converter from the victim’s 2009 Toyota Prius while parked at the location.

07/05/18
Grand Theft - 20500 block Newhall Avenue
Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s 2006 Chevy Silverado while parked at the location.

07/07/18
Commercial Burglary – 23800 block Pine Street
The suspect entered the location and was arrested for the indicated charge.

07/11/18
Vehicle Burglary – 24400 block Newhall Avenue
Person(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked vehicle and stole items.

Grand Theft – 23700 block Lawnside Drive
Items were reported taken from a residence.

07/14/18
Vehicle Burglary – 24300 block The Old Road
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole items.

07/15/18
Commercial Burglary – 24700 block Valley Street
Person(s) unknown forced entry into the business and stole items.

It can take seconds for a thief to steal something from your car, so never leave valuables inside. Most vehicle crime is preventable. Don’t make your car a target for thieves by leaving such sought after items such as purses, wallets, lap top computers and cell phones in plain view. Always check you have closed all your windows and locked the doors before leaving your car unattended. While there’s no surefire way to totally prevent your car from being broken into keeping these tips in mind can make your car less of a target.
