Ferguson Fire: Homemade Indoor Air Filter Instructions

Ferguson Fire: Homemade Indoor Air Filter Instructions for Mariposa County

When wildfire smoke causes unhealthy air quality, it is best to remain indoors, with your air conditioning on, as much as possible. Even with windows closed, wildfire smoke can seep into your home. You can make a “do-it-yourself” room filtration system with items from your local hardware store and use this in your home to cut down on the indoor air particulates from smoke.

For detailed instructions on how to build your own indoor filter see the attached information sheet or visit link http://www.mariposacounty.org/DocumentCenter/View/66513

MARIPOSA COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES has a limited supply of FREE materials to make a DIY Room Filter available to qualified individuals. Call Human Services at 209-966-2000 to find out if you qualify.
