LOCATION: State Highway 66 at Route 18
ACCUSED: Minervo Taveras 29-year-old Male // Highland Park, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On July 20, 2018 at approximately 2:16am Police Officer Dean Schoch spotted a vehicle traveling through the Asbury Park traffic circle with equipment violations. Officer Schoch conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 66 and made contact with the driver who was identified as, Minervo Taveras.
Further investigation revealed that Taveras was found to be in possession of narcotics and charged with the following: possession of Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from New Brunswick. He was transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
