One injured in Traffic Crash

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports his office investigated a two car personal injury accident on US 12 and Bell intersection on 07/18/19 at approximately 0821 hours in Milton Twp, Cass County, Michigan.

On scene investigation shows that 40 year old of Niles, Jessica Mark, was waiting for traffic to clear at the intersection to turn left on to Bell Rd when the second vehicle driven by Brianna Thompson, 27 year old of Niles pulled out on to US12 from Bell Rd not seeing the other vehicle.

When Thompson pulled out from Bell Rd on to US 12 both vehicles then collided. Mark sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to South Bend Memorial for treatment by SMCAS Ambulance. Thompson was uninjured in the crash. Seatbelts were worn and alcohol/drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.

Deputies were assisted on scene by SMCAS Ambulance.
