A short time ago the family of Mr. Newsome was identified. The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone who assisted in sharing the story of Mr. Newsome and for your assistance in connecting us to his family.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
Yesterday, at 2:27pm Washtenaw Metro Dispatch received a call of a possible body behind the Walmart shopping center on Ellsworth Rd. in Ypsilanti Township. Deputies arrived on scene to find 49 year old Alven Newsome deceased. It appears that Mr. Newsome had been living in the wooded area behind the shopping center where he was found. There were no signs of foul play and at this stage we believe he may have died of natural causes. Although we have been able to identify Mr. Newsome we have not been able to locate any known family members.

White male, Green eyes, Gray hair
Last known address was in Ann Arbor
