The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
July 17th
0708 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 53-year-old Newark male for his outstanding warrant on the 4900 block of Derby Court. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
1030 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated an auto burglary on the 5500 block of Cedar Court. The loss is unknown at this time.
1604 Hours: Officer Simon investigated a two-vehicle non-injury accident on Newark Boulevard at Civic Terrace Avenue.
1645 Hours: Officer Jackman investigated an attempted vehicle burglary on the 8100 block of Enterprise Drive. The door handle to the vehicle was broken, but no items were missing.
2036 Hours: Officers responded to disturbance on the 37000 of Magnolia Street. The Officers contacted and arrested a 49-year-old Newark male for his outstanding warrant. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
