Narrative:
On June 30, 2018, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Kohl’s, located at 1960 Newbury Road, regarding a robbery that just occurred. Sheriff’s deputies determined a suspect, identified as (S) Tony Santiago, stole property from Kohl’s and exited the location. A Loss Prevention agent confronted Santiago, who brandished a knife and fled the area on foot. Santiago was observed getting into the passenger seat of a nearby vehicle, which then fled the area.

Detectives from the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit and Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation and were able to identify the driver of the previously mentioned vehicle as (S) Francisco Jacome. As a result of their investigation, detectives determined there was probable cause to arrest Santiago and Jacome for PC 211 – Second Degree Robbery.

On July 6, 2018, detectives contacted Santiago at the Ventura County Main Jail, where he was in custody on unrelated charges. Santiago was arrested for the robbery and is still in custody with bail set at $140,000.

On July 15, 2018, detectives arrested Jacome for the robbery and PC 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Jacome was booked for the violations, where his bail was set at $80,000.
