Folsom Search Warrant Yields Drugs, Cash and Two Arrests

A search warrant on Thursday, July 12 resulted in the seizure of a quarter pound of suspected methamphetamine, heroin and other illegal drugs.  In the early evening hours, Folsom Police SIU detectives served a search warrant in the 600 block of Wales Drive, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug sales.  The target of the investigation was Thomas D Mudd, 30 years old, of Folsom, who lives at the residence. Detectives found suspected drugs, pending laboratory testing to confirm.  They found 116.8 grams of methamphetamine, 32.5 grams of heroin, 66 vicodin pills, and .7 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy).

Detectives found evidence of ongoing drug sales and seized cash totaling $1,462 and a 2001 BMW X5 , which are believed to be the proceeds of drug sales.

There were ten people at the residence including two young children (2 and 4).  The district attorney’s office is reviewing the case for child endangerment charges.

Mudd was taken into custody and booked on possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of heroin for sale. Another adult in the residence, Abbey Mychelle Roderick, 20, of Folsom, was booked for possession of drugs and for 3 outstanding arrest warrants.  Both suspects were booked into the Sacramento County Jail.
